English Placement Test (EPT) Exemptions
- A score of 550 or higher on the SAT Reasoning (previously known as verbal) section or 24 on the English section of the ACT will exempt you from the EPT.
- A score of 3 or higher on either the Language and Composition or Literature and composition AP exam offered by College Board.
- A passing score on the Early Assessment Program (EAP) questions that you may have taken in your junior year of high school with the Golden State Exams may also exempt you from the EPT.
- Transfer credit for a college course that satisfies the General Education Breadth requirement or the Intersegmental Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) requirement in written communication with a grade of 'C' or better.
